Gentle Dental Care Delivered Where Your Loved One Feels Safe

Professional oral healthcare in the comfort of their aged care home

At Mobile Dental Clinics Australia, we understand that organising dental care for an older loved one can feel overwhelming, especially when mobility, health concerns or anxiety are involved. That’s why we bring experienced dental professionals directly to aged care facilities, delivering care at the bedside or in familiar onsite spaces, so residents can receive the treatment they need without leaving the comfort of their home.

Why Mobile Dental Care Matters in Aged Care

As people age, visiting an external dental clinic can become stressful, uncomfortable or simply impractical. Transfers, transport and unfamiliarenvironments often cause distress — particularly for residents living withfrailty, dementia or complex medical needs. Oral health is closely linked tonutrition comfort, communication and overall wellbeing — yet it is one of the most difficult services for aged care residents to access externally.

Mobile dental care:

Eliminates the need for travel

Reduces anxiety and physical strain

Allows care to be delivered in a familiar, calm environment

Supports dignity, comfort and wellbeing

Our approach ensures residents are supported by people theyknow, while receiving professional dental care where they feel safest.

Questions

Everything you need to know about our general dental services

Do you visit residential aged care facilities?

Yes. Aged care dentistry is a core MDCA service.

Can residents with dementia be treated?

Yes. MDCA clinicians are experienced in caring for residents with cognitive impairments. We have over 10 years’ experience operating in this space and were one of the pioneers for mobile aged care dentistry.

Is bedside dentistry available?

Yes. Portable equipment allows bedside dental care when needed.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. All services are provided by appointment.

Are fees higher than a clinic?

Fees are generally comparable to clinic dentistry, with added convenience. Additionally, we spread the callout fee across patients seen at the same location and fully waive it where we are treating eight or more patients at the same facility, or for follow-up treatment (such as fillings and extractions).

Do you accept DVA or VDS government-based vouchers?

Unfortunately, we no longer accept DVA Gold Card or VDS vouchers for denture services and treatment. However, we do continue to accept DVA Gold Cards for our general dental services (such as scale and clean, fillings and extractions).

How is infection control managed?

MDCA follows strict infection-control and clinical governance standards.
